Cherimoyas have large soft leaves. The fruit is green with many flat sections, similar to a golf ball, but is the size of a human hand. The fruit is ready when it can be slightly squished, like an avocado.
Usage:
Cherimoyas, also known as the "custard apple", are soft like custard. They are eaten fresh, after the seeds are removed, as well as being added to beverages.
Factoids:
The seeds are poisonous, if crushed, they can be used as an insecticide.
