Physical Description: 

Chokecherries grow on shrubs and small trees. The leaves are round and serrated. Chokecherries are small - the size of a pinkie tip - and are dark red.

Usage: 

Chokecherries can be eaten fresh, or made into jam or preserves.

Factoids: 

The chokecherry is the official fruit of North Dakota.
