Physical Description:
The Epazote is a short weedy plant, about four feet tall. It has small green flowers on the apex of the stems. It has long, spear-like leaves growing on an irregularly-branched plant.
Usage:
Epazote is used as a culinary herb in Mexican cuisine, and is believed to prevent the flatulence caused by beans.
Factoids:
Epazote was once listed in the US Pharmacopeia as a treatment for intestinal worms.
