Physical Description: 

Figs are small, tangy, squishy fruit with black or green skins. The trees are large and have large green leaves.

Usage: 

They are commonly eaten fresh, or the pulp is dried. They are delicious - and fancy - when grilled wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with blue cheese.

Factoids: 

The Biblical "ancestors" Adam and Eve used fig leaves to cover their private parts after being cast out of the Garden of Eden for gluttony.
