Physical Description:
Grapes come in many colors from dark purple to white, and grow in hanging bunch. Grapes grow on climbing vines with large reddish green leaves that resemble oak leaves.
Usage:
They are best eaten fresh while reclining in a toga straight off the cluster - even better if someone peels them and feeds them to you! - like the Romans. They can also be made into jelly, jam, juice or wine. The leaves can be made into stuffed grape leaves
Factoids:
The area of land cultivated for grape production is increasing about 2% per year. The bulk of the global grape harvest goes to wine production, about 30% is eaten as fresh fruit, the minority is eaten as dried fruit or producing grape juice for sugar free products.
