Hello Fruity Folks!!                                             (View in Browser)

The days are getting shorter and Halloween is just around the corner. Bands of miniature ghouls, goblins and super heroes will soon clamor to (y)our doorsteps for "Tricker Treats!!" In honor of our favorite time of year, we have prepared a bevy of recipes for homemade Halloween treats. Speaking of homemade, the early contributions to the Pie Throwdown make our tummies rumble, so keep your submissions coming!

We also would like to introduce you to our new partner and master gardener, Bernardo Lopez, who has penned this month's Gardening Tips for fruit tree growers. We also offer you a report on a Kitchen Table Talks conversation about Mayor Gavin Newsom's Directive on Sustainable Food!

Happy Halloween!
