Physical Description:
Lemons trees have a purplish tint to the bark and they have large, green-on-top, golden-brown-on-bottom leaves.
Usage:
They are great in lemonade (obviously!) and other beverages. The zest is great for making limoncello and adding to baked goods or marmalade.
Factoids:
There are many great varieties of lemon, from massive thick-rind Eurekas, to diminutive and thin-skinned Meyers. In ancient times, lemons were used as an antidote for poisons.
