Latin Name:
Citrus reticulata

Physical Description:
Mandarin trees are smallish, with long, shiny, dark-green pointed leaves similar to other citrus. Mandarins grow in clusters.
Usage:
Mandarins are the perfect fruit to eat when you've got a lot of email to do; they peel easily and don't make your fingers sticky. They also are good on salads or juiced (but you'll need a lot of them for this!).
Factoids:
Tangerines are actually Mandarins, but have been marketed under a different name because of their slightly redder skin.
