Physical Description: 

Mulberries are large trees with thin, ridged, serrated, heart-shaped leaves. Mulberries can be red, purple or white and resemble a blackberry or raspberry.

Usage: 

The fruit is eaten fresh, and widely used to make jam, jellies, sauces and cordials. The flavor is reminiscent of blackberries.

Factoids: 

Mulberry leaves, especially those of the white mulberry are the preferred fodder for silkworms.
