Creme Friache Nectarine

The taste of France in the summertime. Surprise that special someone with a creme friache fruit recipe!

Serves 2

Ingredients

2 fresh nectarines; sliced
1 cup plain yogurt
1 tbsp honey; or sugar
2 drops almond extract; to taste
1 pack unflavored gelatin
2 tbsp cold water

Directions

  1. Puree nectarines, yogurt, honey and almond extract in blender.
  2. Sprinkle gelatin over water in small saucepan.
  3. Let stand 1 minute to soften.
  4. Stir over low heat until dissolved.
  5. Add to nectarine mixture in blender. Blend 10 seconds.
  6. Chill until mixture begins to thicken.
  7. Spoon into stemmed glasses, and chill until it sets.
  8. Garnish with additional nectarine slices and mint sprigs, if desired.
