Live in Madison, WI and want to learn how to prune?

Join Madison Fruits and Nuts for a free fruit tree pruning workshop! We'll focus on young trees that were planted bareroot two years ago at the orchard adjacent to Quann Community Garden.

You'll learn:
* How to shape the growth of a young tree by pruning.
* Which kinds of branches to prune and which to keep.
* Why different kinds of trees should be pruned differently.

Jim Winkle, who has been pruning backyard fruit trees for 15 years, will lead this workshop which takes place Saturday, March 6, 2010 from 10-11:30 am.

Space is limited, and this will likely fill. PLEASE REGISTER by sending email to Christie Ralston at christie@troygardens.org by March 4.

Please bring sharp pruning shears if you can (we'll have a few extras).

Location:
* Jessica Bullen Orchard & Quiet Garden, 204 Bram Street, Madison
* Take Park St. to Beld St. to Bram St.
