Physical Description:
Pluots have shiny pointed leaves and grow on twiggy trees.
Usage:
The pluot, not to be confused with the aprium, or the plumcot is a hybrid of apricots and plums. They are quite sweet and high in Vitamin A. They are great to eat right off the tree and can be made into jams and jellies.
Factoids:
Pluots were first sold commercially in 1989, and were invented by Floyd Zaiger.
