Physical Description:
Pomelo trees have light green tinged with yellow, shiny, pointed leaves. The flowers are white with four petals. Pomelo fruits are yellow and green with a thick rind.
Usage:
Pomelo are the sumo wrestlers of the citrus kingdom. Their massive size, and thick skin make transportation extremely easy. They are great raw, or candied or in sweet soups.
Factoids:
Pomelo are sometimes called "Shaddock" after the sea captain that introduced them to Barbados.
