Physical Description:
Strawberry Guava trees are small with dark green centrally-ridged leaves. The guavas are red or yellow.
Usage:
Strawberry Guavas can be eaten fresh, or cooked down for sauces, jam and jellies. Roasted, the seeds make a good substitute for coffee and the leaves can be brewed into tea.
Factoids:
In Hawaii, the strawberry guava is an invasive species that is displacing native forests.
